Update re: Issue #2
Upon further investigation, the logins are failing when one tries to register an email address that already exists in the system. Email addresses need to be unique. This mostly seems to be an issue when one has registered on the site in the past, then forgotten that this had already been done, and one is trying to register a second time with the same address.
What is
not working at the moment (due to an issue with the current template for the site) is the display of error messages. There should be a message explaining that one has tried to reuse an existing email address and prompting one to try registering again with a new address -- and only
then blanking out the form for reuse. We're also missing the message upon successfully registering that welcomes one to the site and explains that one will receive an activation email.
So, if you experience the "blanking registration form" you have three choices:
- register with a different email address;
- send an email to me via the Contact Us section of the site referencing the email address you'd like to use and I'll check to see if you already are registered, reset your password, and send you a new one; or,
- try the "Forgot my password" or "Forgot my username" links on the Login Form.
We're currently working on the missing system messages and will update everyone here when we have further word on that.
